Next assessment date, Sunday, 5th September, 6pm at Sunbury Leisure Centre.

We regularly hold assessments for swimmers wishing to join the club.  To arrange an assessment, please email John (click to email) with the swimmers name, date of birth and 2 telephone numbers or phone John on 07792 381965.

Teaching Scheme

We currently have a small number of spaces in our 2-day teaching schemes ideally suited for children between the ages of 4 and 8.  For more information please go to the 'More Information' page of the SSC 'Learn-to-Swim' website.  Or to arrange an assessment, call Kai on her mobile, 07751 885045 anytime or 01784 450929 during pool opening hours.

Black Swan Open 2011

The Black Swan Open will be held on Saturday, 8th January 2011. The meet is designated as level 3 and is designed to help swimmers achieve County qualifying times.

AGE GROUPS:
9,10,11,12,13,14,15 years and over

EVENTS: (HDW)
50m all strokes; 100 IM, 200 IM all age groups
100m all strokes 10 yr. and over girls; 11 yr and over boys

Summer Time Table

Main Pool

As usual, there will be a 2 week summer break from Sunday, 1st August to Saturday 14th August, inclusive. The last day of swimming will be Saturday, 31st July.

A special summer time table will operate from Sunday, 15th August to Saturday, 28th August.  The normal time table resumes on Sunday, 29th August.

Please note that Masters Sunday sessions will not be cancelled on Sunday, 1st and 8th August, this is to make up for recent session losses.

Cygnet Pool

The last session at the Cygnet Pool will be Saturday, 24th August. As the Cygnet Pool will be drained, there will be no swimming for anyone at the Cygnet Pool until Thursday, 2nd September when normal swimming resumes.

Keep Fit or Competitive Swimming for Adults

Staines Swimming Club Masters section is for adults who want to swim to keep fit or to compete.  As long as you are over 18, age doesn't matter, as long as you can swim a few lengths, technique doesn't matter, you don't even have to swim all 4 strokes.  It's a great way to keep fit and a great way to make new friends.

The Club Captains are there to help, especially with the more inexperienced swimmer, so hopefully you will see them either in the pool or on poolside.
