Middlesex County Development Camp
Tilly Thuringer, Grace Baker, Julia Jaworska, Freya Angood and Emma Christmas were selected to attend the Middlesex County Development Camp which was held in Northolt Pool on Sunday 11th September. The girls were selected based on their results at the 2010 County Championship competition and were accompanied to the camp by Lawrence, Jackie and Kayleigh.
The camp is designed to supplement individual clubs training programmes and allowed the girls to train with some of the other top 200 Individual Medley swimmers in the county. There were sessions in the pool focusing on technique and dry land training which gave the swimmers an insight into the benefits of core stability work and stretching and also advice on nutriton.
It was a long but very worthwhile day and the Staines Swimmers were praised for their behaviour, professional attitude and effort during the day
