Great PBs at Reading Open Meet
Eleven swimmers from Staines SC went along to Reading Swimming Club early season meet on Saturday 1st October at central pool.
Other visiting clubs were Amersham, Bracknell & Wokingham, Bromley, Slough & Eton, Tilehurst.
Girls 100m Breaststroke Amanda Znetyniak came 2nd in the 12 year olds and took five seconds off her time; Ciara Maybey 12 seconds and Eleanor Harvey two seconds, Claudia Ronan who took one second off her time.
13 years: Amy Williams gained a six second improvement on her time.
There were also improved times from Natasha Zneyniak 14 year old (3 seconds), Stephanie Moore 15 year old (1).
Girls 100m Backstroke Ciara Maybey took the silver medal with a three-second personal bests; Amanda Znetyniak with a 1-second bettered time.
13 years: Anna Haslam was fourth, improving her time by three seconds. Amy Williams was seventh in the same age group with a personal bests.
14years: Lauren Sivers six-second improved time, Natasha Zneyniak took one second off her time, Calli Meredith took three seconds off her time.
Girls 100m Freestyle large improvements were recorded by Ciara Maybey (11secs) Anna Haslam (7secs) and Hannah Sivers (3secs)
Girls 200 IM Amy Williams and Calli Meredith improved their times by nine and four seconds respectively. Lauren Sivers knocked another three seconds off her time.
Girls 100 Butterfly Amy William (13 year old) was fourth in her first attempt at 100m fly Natasha Znetyniak also finished fourth in the 14 year olds with a one second personal bests.
