Staines SC Diddy League Highest Finish Ever Again!
Staines Diddy League A Team stepped up yet again from last year moving into a fantastic 5th place in the League.
Staines continued its movement up the league and has now finished one place higher for the past 3 seasons.

There were five 1st places including; Girls 11/U freestyle and medley teams (Julia Jaworska, Tiffany Parsons, Freya Angood, Emma Christmas), Gabrielle Icmat 10/U 50m Freestyle, Freya Angood 11/U 50m Freestyle, Tiffany Parsons 11/U 50m Butterfly. There were five 2nd places including; Ewan Taylor 9yrs 25m Freestyle, Demi Croad 9yrs 25m Breaststroke, Callum Stearn 10/U 50m Backstroke, Gabrielle Icmat 10/U 50m Butterfly, Avery Santos 10/U 50m Butterfly.
Against very tough competition every swimmer put in 100% effort and there were a fantastic number of personal best swims from throughout the team. A special metion to 9 year old Madeline Knell who bravely stepped up into the A Team a few hours before the competition due to one of the swimmers having to go to hospital.

The B Team was also in action and for a second year Staines was able to give more young swimmers the opportunity to represent the club in competition.
The swimmers all worked really hard and the team atmosphere on poolside was amazing.
There were four 1st places including; James Sando 10/U 50m Breaststroke, Jack Doig 9yrs 25m Breaststroke, Elsa Gibson 12/U 50m Backstroke, Girls 10/U freestyle relay (Bethany Thuringer, Amelia Thompson, Ella Mackenzie, Lucia Stevenson). There were an amazing fouteen 2nd places including; Girls 12/U medley relay (Mimi White, Naomi Hargreaves, Elsa Gibson, Bethany Thuringer), Girls 10/U medley relay (Bethany Thuringer, Amelia Thompson, Ella Mackenzie, Lucia Stevenson), Elsa Gibson 12/U 50m Butterfly, Amelia Thompson 10/U 50m Backstroke, Harry Ward 10/U 50m Backstroke, Lucia Stevenson 10/U 25m Butterfly, Naomi Hargreaves 11/U 50m Freestyle, Cormac Sweeny 12/U 50m Breaststroke, Bethany Thuringer 10/U 50m Freestyle, Naomi Hargreaves 11/U 50m Breaststroke, Girls 11/U medley relay (Amelia Thompson, Naomi Hargreaves, Lucia Stevenson, Mimi White), Boys 12/U freestyle relay (Alfred Battend, Nathan Wilson, Sam John, Cormac Sweeny), Cannon freestyle relay (Hannah Aldred, Jack Doig, Bethany Thuringer, James Sando, Naomi Hargreaves, Sam John, Elsa Gibson, Alfred Batten).
