Representing the Club in Galas
Dress
When representing Staines Swimming Club at galas, all swimmers are expected to wear Club uniform this comprises of black /or black and red costume and Club hat, together with the Club "T-bag" shirt. It is advisable to always have available a spare costume, hat and goggles together with some form of poolside footwear (flip-flops) and a towel.
T-Bags
At all forms of Galas you will see a great majority of swimmers wearing their Club Colours by way of an over-shirt that is called a T-Bag.
Staines has its own T-Bag, and it greatly supports the team ethic if all our swimmers wear these at Galas. They are also a great place to sew on the various time badges that Swimmers qualify for as they progress.
T-Bags can be purchased from the Club Shop.
Behaviour
When all Swimmers and Parents join the Club, we require them to sign a "Code of Conduct" that sets out the type of behaviour we expect from both as Members of Staines Swimming Club.
We take these codes very seriously, as do the ASA, and any breaches notified to the Committee will be dealt with quickly and heavily.
The ability of the associated swimmer in question, will be of no consideration to the Committee in its judgement on any such breaches of Conduct.
