Black Swan Summer Open Meet 2015 (Non-National Qualifiers)
The Black Swan Summer Open Meet 2015 is now open. This will be a level 3 gala on the 11th and 12th of July in the Elmbridge Xcel Leisure Complex, Walton-On-Thames.
Clubs can get details, documents and Hy-Tek files in the Black Swan competition page. Please note this is a first-come-first-served event. The entry is restricted to swimmers who have NOT qualified for any National event for 2015 (excluding Masters).
My name is Matt and I am very excited to be joining Staines Swimming Club as Junior Coach and Gala Coordinator from the 31st August 2014.
Currently I work teaching and coaching swimming at different venues across Hillingdon. Since the age of 9 I have been a competitive member of Hillingdon Swimming Club, and have competed at a County, Regional and National level as well as training with and representing the University of Portsmouth while studying.
I am looking forward to start the new season with you all and working together to fulfill your goals. As Michael Phelps said "I think that everything is possible as long as you put your mind to it, and put the work and time into it".
So this season I want each of you to be the best you can be. We will be working on a diverse programme including stroke techniques, starts and finishes, and underwater work helping you achieve your full potential.
Enjoy the rest of the summer, I look forward to seeing you on the 31st August.
Junior Coach - Staines Swimming Club
Assistant Head Coach, Robert Crofts, completes his ASA Level 3 qualification
Congratulations to Rob who has passed his level 3 coaching qualification with flying colours. Staines SC is continually increasing the number of coaches qualified to the highest level and Rob is another excellent addition to that group.
Well done Rob!
Learn 2 Swim Leaflet
We are looking for your help!
Please can you support your club by handing out this leaflet to friends, families, schools, etc?
We have three venues now where we offer Learn 2 Swim programmes. We need help spreading the news and encouraging children to learn to swim.
Thank you in advance.
Bishopsgate School Pool
The fantatsic new swimming pool at Bishopsgate school is now open and being used by different groups across the club. We have also launched a weekend learn to swim programme which is proving to be very popular already.
For further information or to book visit our join us page.
Main Pool New Swimmer Assessment
We regularly hold assessments for swimmers wishing to join the club. Assessments are held on a regular basis at Spelthorne Leisure Centre. Please email email@example.com or phone 07757 896565 with the swimmer’s name, date of birth and two telephone numbers. Evenings are not the best time to call, as coaches are busy at training sessions.
We currently have a small number of spaces in our 2-day teaching scheme ideally suited for children between the ages of 4 and 8. For more information please go to the 'More Information' page of the SSC 'Learn-to-Swim' website. To arrange an assessment, please call Kai on 07914 491442.
SSC Club Kit
The club shop is currently changing, there will be more news soon, please bear with us in the mean time.
Keep Fit or Competitive Swimming for Adults
Staines Swimming Club Masters section is for adults who want to swim to keep fit or to compete. As long as you are over 18, age doesn't matter, as long as you can swim a few lengths, technique doesn't matter, you don't even have to swim all 4 strokes. It's a great way to keep fit and a great way to make new friends.
